E-Type roadster (Series I) E-Type Coupé (Series I) 1963 E-Type Roadster red 1967 E-Type 4.2 Roadster. The Series 1 was introduced, initially for export only, in March 1961. The domestic market launch came four months later in July 1961. The cars at this time used the triple SU carburetted 3.8-litre six-cylinder Jaguar XK6 engine from the XK150S. The Jaguar E-Type was an entirely British creation by Jaguar cars. It was not only a 'head-turner,' but was competitively priced. These high-performance vehicles were produced between 1961 and 1975. Over 70,000 of these models were sold, and even today the Jaguar E-Type stands out as a timeless design icon that is arguably the most beautiful TmKWY.
