1290 problems? : r/KTM. I'm doing a bit of research into my next bike. Currently have a VFR1200F but would like something a bit lighter and with more tech (cornering ABS definitely). Can someone give me an overview of what to look out for on these/the major issues? My main concern is reliability and how it does with year round riding re corrosion. It has low maintenance tubeless tires (unlike the new Africa Twin) and the engine has plenty of grunt (more than the 1200GS) and it comes with a 7.9Gallon fuel tank (vs the Super Tenere's 6.6 gallons). The only problem is that the seat height at the lowest setting is 33.8 inches and I have a 30 inch inseam. It's an abandoned race track not far from my town, in northern Italy. Been there a couple of years ago, it looks like they made a lot of clean up as the track was filled by the vegetation then.
